BANANA NUT BREAD

Recipe from: Grandma Stewart

5 large bananas
4 eggs well beaten
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
4 cups sifted flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

Blend bananas into a liquid, add eggs, cream shortening and sugar, add to banana and egg mixture.  Add nuts and pour into 2 well greased loaf tins.
Bake and 325 for 1 1/2 hours or until well done.
